Is it easy?

Being a civil celebrant is not a job anyone should enter into lightly. You certainly have your fair share of lows in relation to your highs. I have been lucky in my career both at Citigroup and with the Foreign Office to have received an exceptional amount of training in relationship building and conflict management. Looking after grieving families is an honour, but has it’s own challenges. Sadly, more often than not, there are family disputes that run the risk of overshadowing the ceremony. I recently read one of my favourite poems called ‘The Dash’ by Linda Ellis at a funeral in the vain hope that some members of the family would reflect on their ‘dash’.
